The Valleyview Male Chorus

Valleyview Male Chorus celebrated its twentieth anniversary in 2016. No one anticipated such a run at the time the fledging chorus of 15 men was initially organized to sing for a church service early in 1997. There was strong interest within the group to continue singing and so it was that in the spring of that year the chorus presented its first concert, which subsequently became an annual event. Although its ties to Valleyview Church have remained strong, the choir has gradually grown to become an established community chorus with a membership of close to 50. Its members encompass a broad spectrum in terms of age, experience, musical ability, and denominational affiliation. The repertoire includes both sacred and secular music and spans a wide genre of musical styles including classics, gospel, folk, contemporary and more.

A Sample of Our Music:

We close our rehearsal each week with Blessing, a very humble prayer. As a pandemic project, we combined our recorded version with pictures from Don Taves to create a very prayerful version. It is being widely circulated, and has already been used to close virtual services where live music has been limited.
